Easternwell supports Lifeline’s Stress Down Day

Easternwell recently supported Lifeline’s Stress Down Day by encouraging employees to reduce their stress levels by dressing down, and enjoying fun activities with friends and workmates while raising awareness for Lifeline and mental health.

Research by Lifeline shows that 90 per cent of Australians need to stress less, with 74 per cent of people attributing stress to work.

Stress Down Day is an annual event held by Lifeline dedicated to creating awareness around the importance of reducing the burden of stress on our community.

Easternwell Wellness Coordinator and Accredited Practising Dietitian, Liam Brennan, said: “It was great to participate in Stress Down Day again this year. It is a really fun and easy way to support Lifeline’s crisis support service and reduce the stigma around mental health while having a bit of a laugh at work.

“It’s a great way to do something for the community, while raising awareness about work-related stress and how to manage it.”

Easternwell prioritises the safety and wellbeing of its employees by encouraging initiatives such as its Flexibility Policy, which supports employees to balance their commitments at work and at home with flexible working arrangements, and free access to an Employee Assistance Program for counselling.

Easternwell is a subsidiary of Broadspectrum, providing innovation solutions across the social, defence, property, infrastructure, resources and industrial sectors.
